The ultra pure green hexagonal silicon carbide material provides superior thermal properties, allowing for operation at high temperatures and a long service life.
In contrast to the earlier dumbbell shaped components with enlarged cold ends, the modern non dumbbell or ED type components offer a more compact and efficient design. The oversized cold ends of the earlier design were necessary due to limitations in materials and technology.
